Mote Marine Aquarium

I awoke to a sunny morning today in Sarasota, Florida. The possibilities of what I could do with my day were endless. I burst of sudden inspiration sent me to the complimentary breakfast room where I had a muffin and some yogurt and cereal. Then, well, the inspiration kinda died out. Luckily, Carolyn (The lovely Princess Rhyme), sent out a group text saying that she would be taking one of the vans (the two vans are lovingly called Big Red and Moby Dick.....or M'Dick if you're nasty) to a bike rental place. I thought to myself, why not?!

So, Carolyn, Big Red and I went to this random Sarasota bike rental place. We got these two fearless beach cruisers.....
We then decided to go to the Mote Marine Aquarium which was about 4 miles away. Carolyn, with her trusty Google GPS on her phone, led the way. The first part of the bike ride was easy enough until we reached this big mama of a bridge. Carolyn expresses our trepidation
perfectly.....This is the way up. Ugh.We took a quick break near the top of the bridge. Here's Sarasota!
Carolyn became Speed Racer on the way down. She's the little speck in the distance.
By the time we got to the aquarium we were two sweaty messes. Thankfully, it was nice and cool inside.

Here's one of the first fishies. Unfortunately I can't for the life of me remember what most of the fish are called.
This green monster is a scary ass Moray Eel! He kinda looks like he's smiling, doesn't he?
He just keeps going and going.....This is a Lion fish.....I think. Those spines are full of really terrible venom. I think?Humph. That's what this grouch is saying.I'm pretty sure this is a Fire Worm. It'll zap you full of stingers if you step on it.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!! JELLYFISH!Here's Dory swimming around.....And here she is trying to get in on Nemo's picture.....Giant squid! And it's feets.....Hammerhead shark!Tiburones!Great White Shark babies up close.....Holy SHIT.Sea Turtle! And its babies.....Oh! Hello there. My favorite part of this picture is the fact that it says I'm 6 feet tall. WOO! Finally.Manatee manatee-in'.....
All in all, it was a lovely day :) Bye for now!
